Accommodation Whistler

Canada's Best Loved Ski Resort

As Canada's biggest ski resort, it comes as no surprise that there's endless accommodation at Whistler to suit your group, your style and your budget. What may surprise you is that Whistler accommodation is renowned for representing good value. Choose from apartments, condos, and townhouses to suit your family or group, in the centre of vibrant Whistler Village or the Upper Village and if you're keen to be on the slopes early and all day, make sure you find lodgings that are ski-in-ski-out or slope side. Alternatively, if you're looking for something a little quieter, book into Whistler Creekside. Once you're in Whistler you won't need a car to get around as everything is within an easy walk unless you’re staying at Whistler Creekside. From here there's a local public bus system to get you round.

Skiing & Boarding

With more than 200 marked runs across two massive snow-covered mountains, 16 steep alpine bowls, and three glaciers, you’re going to need plenty of days to explore Whistler. Beware that despite its vastness, this mountain can become crowded out by Vancouver locals, especially on weekends and holidays. If you’re new to skis or boarding, you’ll just love the gentle beginner runs at the base of the mountain and the perfectly groomed trails along which you can progress as your confidence builds. Much of the mountain is dedicated to intermediate skiers and boarders with spectacular tree runs, challenging down hills and long thigh burning groomers. More advanced? You won’t know yourself! There’s an incredible 893 hectares of mountain for advanced skiers and boarders at Whistler, boasting steep alpine bowls, nail biting chutes and double black diamond runs to put you through your paces. And, if you prefer to venture further out, you’ll also find some sensational cross-country tracks and off-piste territory.

Activities

As one of the world’s best known, most loved ski resorts, Whistler knows how to turn on the fun. The resort’s central villages offer an amazing après scene with fabulous restaurants, bars and cafes open into the small hours. During the day you can indulge in Heli-skiing, try snowmobiling, ice fishing, ziplining or slide down the world’s fastest ice track in a bobsleigh… or simply explore the vibrant village, soak up the atmosphere and peruse the offerings in endless boutiques. During a ski day, your kids will love the chance to burn some energy at the Magic Castle adventure playground in Blackcomb and Tree Fort in Whistler. And for some great family entertainment don’t miss the weekly Fire & Ice show at Whistler Village base every Sunday night from mid-December to early April at 6:30pm

Getting There & Around

To get to Whistler, fly into Vancouver International Airport then take one of many shuttle services or book a private transfer for the two hour journey to the resort. There’s no need to hire a car when you’re skiing or boarding at Whistler - the village is compact and pedestrian friendly. It only takes a few minutes to walk between the Upper Village and Whistler Village, and, if you’re staying at Whistler Creekside, you can take advantage of the public bus service.

Our staff love...

One of my favourite resorts that truly offers something for absolutely everyone. Fine dining, spa experiences, amazing skiing to multiple family activities like tubing, ice skating, sleigh rides and so on. Easiest resort to get to from Australia, direct flight to Vancouver plus a 2 hour transfer to the village makes it a family favourite.
