A traditional, newly refurbished seven-room lodge in the heart of Nozawa Onsen. Yamagen is perched up the hill from the main street of Oyu dori, Oyu Onsen and centre of the village, located directly opposite the newly reconstructed historic Akiha onsen - a renowned village favourite amongst the 13 ancient natural public onsens in Nozawa. It is a 5-min walk down to the main lift, Nagasaka Gondola, and a 7-min walk back. Rooms are simple / traditional. Comfortable double futons, healthy breakfasts. Bathrooms are shared, with Japanese-style showers and bathing facilities.
