Yongpyong is South Korea’s largest, oldest and most popular ski resort, located in Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do. Often referred to as “Korea’s ski mecca”, Yongpyong is one of several ski resorts in the region, and one of four resorts that were selected to host the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics. The resort spans 1740ha and offers 29km of marked trails for all abilities.

AccommodationThe Dragon Valley Hotel is the most popular accommodation and is only a stone throw from the lifts. This 5 star hotel offers fantastic facilities, including bowling alley, water park, karaoke,arcade room, restaurants and shops.
Skiing & BoardingYongpyong has more than 25kms of groomed slopes and a terrain park for all abilities. It hosted the slalom and giant slalom at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. Yongpyong has two areas, a low altitude area of easy and intermediate pistes around the base and a higher area of more challenging terrain including some steep runs where the Olympic slalom took place. While you will not get any off-piste skiing or powder days here, it is the largest and most varied resort in South Korea.
ActivitiesThere is plenty of activities aside from skiing including screen golf, arcade games, billiards, bowling alley, karaoke, sauna, water park and shopping.
Getting There & AroundThere are two ways to get between Seoul/Incheon and Yongpyong Resort: KTX train or private shuttle bus. The private shuttle takes approx. 3hrs from the airport. The KTZ train was purposely built for the Olympics. Skiers headed to Yongpyong should disembark at Jinbu (Odaesan) Station. The commute time between Incheon Airport and Jinbu is approximately 2hr 10mins, whereas from Seoul Station, it’s approximately 1.5hr. From Jinbu Station, skiers will need to take a 1hr shuttle bus to Yongpyong Resort. Buses run six times per day, every other hour from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm.

Dragon Valley Hotel is located at the foot of Yongpyong Resort, the venue for the 2018 Winter Olympics.
