Furano New Prince Hotel

Written by Irene Wilson a Skier from Toukley NSW, Australia

Good accommodation, good terrain for intermediate skiers and great snow.

Language barrier made communication sometimes difficult. It would have been nice to have had a get together for English speaking guests so everyone could meet early. We saw some guests initially at check in and often did not see them again!

Someone at reception who could speak fluent English would have made life a lot easier for overseas visitors.

However on the whole a most enjoyable ski holiday.

A CLASS OF ITS OWN

Written by Wendy Bellamy a Snowboarder from Sydney, Australia

Close to lifts, easy walk comfortable, own bathroom overlooking forest, but the true wonder is the cooking. Not only is it a work of art but it is  delicious. Breakfast is at least 4 courses.

Rooms are large by Japanese standards and very comfortable. As with all things Japanese extremely clean.

Some other great restaurants around.

Uncrowded resort with the mountain to yourself.

Furano Ski Resort

Written by Lidia a Skier from Wollongong Australia
30/04/2012

Lovely resort with perfectly groomed runs and the best powder!

If you like bluebird days and fresh powder, this is the place to go!  Uncrowded, great little restaurants to discover - the locals are amazing - so helpful and really go out of their way to make your stay special.

Pensione Furanui was a lovely surprise - quirky little place run by a local - they do a great breakfast and have their own indoor onsen to unwind in after a day on the slopes.

The town of Furano, 5 minutes by taxi from the resort remains largely untouched by outside influences. Combine Furanos back drop with everything the resort has to offer and you have the ingredients for a great skiing holiday.

Furano offers great culture and entertainment activities, great sightseeing, delicious restaurants, fun bars and the warmest people you are ever likely to meet. Furano is a fantastic small town with a great world class ski area; it is not a ski resort with a small town.
