Accommodation Winter Park

USA's Finest

In this family friendly resort, most of the accommodation is affordable yet comfortable. For convenient proximity to the mountain, the village is your best option, however the restaurants, bars and shops are in the downtown area. Either way there’s a free, regular shuttle to get you around. In the village you can choose from condos that are ski-in-ski out or within walking distance of the lifts, or budget hotels close to the Cabriolet lift, all of which are probably best suited for families

Skiing & Boarding

in Winter Park

With just one base area, Winter Park is the most convenient mountain to navigate and coordinate with friends and family. Here there are seven distinct areas to suit different abilities, the best known being Mary Jane for its massive moguls, steep, long groomed trails and pristine gladed tree runs. Winter Park is particularly suited to intermediate skiers and boarders, offering great challenges accompanied by spectacular views. If you’re more advanced, it’s worth heading to the Cirque, Winter Park’s only real extreme terrain, which has a sled to access chutes and runs off the headwall. And just for more fun, cut back to Winter Park Territory – a Terrain Park boasting a 5.5m Superpipe and a ton of other features, most accessible via an express quad chair.

Activities

It has to be said, when it comes to après activities, Winter Park is on the quiet side. However, there’s still plenty to do. If you’re not skiing, tempt yourself at the resort with ski bikes, tubing, dog sledding, and sleigh rides. Further afield, you’ll find cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and cat skiing. Kids will love the tubing hill that’s close to Vintage Hotel and accessible via the Cabriol lift. And then there’s the small ice-skating rink on the village pond that’s free if you have your own skates (alternatively you can rent some).
