If you are interested in instructing as a vocation, a GAP year alternative, change of career or simply increase your technical knowledge and ability, a YES Instructor Training Program is for you.

You will improve your interpersonal skills, become a better communicator and increase your technical knowledge as you advance your own skiing to new levels. You will learn how to access and develop skiers and various teaching tactics. All programs include off snow technical seminars, on going assessment of your progress and personalised feedback for the best resultss.

The Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance (CSIA) level one qualifies you to teach children and beginers and the level two qualifies you to teach up to intermediate level. The Canadian Ski Coaches Federation (CSCF) level one is an introduction to entry level coaching for children aged 12 and under. All CSIA and CSCF certifications are excellent qualifications to gain entry level employment in snow sports schools worldwide.

To participate in these programs, you should be at least a solid intermediate skier with a good level of fitness.

3 Week Instructor Training Program
Entry Level - CSIA level one
This instructor training program training towards the CSIA level one certification. You will go through a week of ski improvemnet and a week of preperation for the final exam. The final exam is held in the third week.

6 Week Instructor Training Program
Intermediate Level - CSIA level two
This program will take you through the three week program, including the final level one CSIA exam. Two weeks of level two exam preperation follow and the final level two exam is held in the last week.

11 Week Instructor Training Program
Professional  Level - CSIA level one & two, CSCF one, CADS one plus much more.
with this prograom the aim is to develope your skiing and teaching skills to become well rounded and employable instructors in any ski resort worldwide. This extensive program will take you through CSIA level one and onto level two plus the CSCF level one certifications. As a YES exclusive they now include CADS (Canadian Association of Disabled Skiers) level one course. Arrange a work visa before you arrive and you will be offered work experience with ski school on successful completion of your exams.

Freestyle Clinic - NEW and exclusive to YES
The new YES Tours freestyle clinic is an introduction to the terrain park including etiquette and safety. The YES freestyle specialists will cover the progression  to switch skiing rails, and jumps as well as the half pipe. This four day clinic provides the tools to enjoying the park safely while expanding your freestyle ability.
