From the beginning, Island Lake has sought to create an incredible ski vacation experience, one that goes beyond amazing catskiing. The remote lodges nestled in the peaks of the Canadian Rockies, fine mountain dining, massage, outdoor hot tubs and the feeling of untouched powder run after run, create a ski story you’ll tell for an eternity. Situated at the base of the 7000 acres of terrain, 4 lodges sleep up to 48 guests in 26 rooms.
The Tamarack
This lodge features 8 deluxe guest rooms with ensuite bathrooms with a soaker tub, shower, two queen beds and a private deck off 
some of the rooms. The lodge also includes a spectacular 60-seat dining room including a wine library, a professionally designed open concept kitchen and our spa & wellness facility. The Spa at Island Lake includes 5 treatment rooms and a couple’s massage room with a deep Japanese soaking tub, and an outdoor hot tub provides incredible views of the Lizard Range.
The Cedar
The Cedar Lodge features 8 deluxe rooms including a soaker tub, 
shower, queen beds and a private deck off each room. Located in the lower level of the Cedar Lodge is the large fitness room where you can participate in our morning stretch class or work out with cardio equipment and free weights. The Cedar Lodge has an outdoor hot tub on a covered deck to soak your tired muscles after your vigorous day outdoors.
The Red Eagle
Named after the chief who lifted the curse on the Elk Valley, The Red 
Eagle lodge has 10 rooms with ensuite bathrooms. The lodge features a deck off the main level with an outdoor hot tub providing great views of the mountains and the lake. There are comfortable living rooms on both the upper and main floor. These rooms are perfect for friends sharing a tour in addition to a few rooms specifically designed for couples.
Island Lake can also accommodate a limited number of non-skiers in each tour. Activities such as cross country skiing, snowshoeing and spending time in our spa are just some of the ways to pass the time in this incredible mountain setting.
There are no phones or TV’s in guestrooms, though wireless internet is available – we want you to relax! Watch the sun set from an outdoor hot tub, or enjoy a massage as you look forward to a gourmet meal.
