Niseko Japan is Powder Heaven!...once this was a well kept secret but no longer. Australian skiers and boarders are flocking to this snow frontier and being treated to some of the best snow on the planet.
From December to April, this fantastic resort in Japan's northern island of Hokkaido, is blessed with sub artic snow storms coming down from Siberia. Resulting in 12-16m of light powder as far as the eye can see. On a clear day you can even see snow all the way down to the ocean.
Lift System:
You would expect from the technology savvy Japanese that their lifts system would be state of the art. No surface tows here just an array of high speed gondolas and chairs to whisk you up to 48km of terrain. Did I mention that lift queues are almost non existent! Niseko Trail Map
