Ruby Mountain Helicopter Skiing - Nevada

The Ruby Mountains of northeastern Nevada offer 500 square miles of skiing in a true wilderness setting. This mountain range, with peaks above 11,000 feet, is located in the high desert of the Great Basin between the Sierra Nevada to the west and the Wasatch mountains of Utah to the east.

With so much terrain to choose from, we can select runs based on the best snow conditions and the ability level of the skiers on each tour. The runs range from 1,500 to 2,500 vertical feet and include every type of terrain that you dream about, from wide open glaciated bowls to untracked glades of aspen and pine.

Included in your tour is:

• All your meals (except dinner the arrival night)

• Ski rental (Bring your own boots)
• And a vertical guarantee of 39,000 feet.

At times when the helicopter cannot fly due to storms, high winds and other weather conditions beyond our control. In such conditions you have the option to access the snowcat terrain, which is done via helicopters to the snowcat base area at a 7,500 foot elevation.

Although the option of skiing snowcats is a great alternative, it is up to each skier to decide to take advantage of this option. If so, the vertical lift of the snowcat is deducted from the total guarantee of 39,000 vertical feet for three-day tour.
