Snowbird / Alta / Cliff Lodge

Cliff Lodge is a 5 star hotel. No need to pay extra for a slopeside room as the views are great in all directions. Check quoted prices against their internet pricing.
The village "plan" is a mess - accomm is isolated from the terminal centre which has the atmosphere of a railway station. Take good apres boots to walk accross the snow.
If you prefer a lodge style, check The Alta Lodge. A tunnel provides easy access from Snowbird to Mineral Basin, (great runs off wide to both sides after snow) and to Alta,(finish with a beer at The Goldminer''s Daughter before getting the shuttle back to Snowbird).
Most double blacks at both resorts end up in tight shutes so beware.
Both resorts are crowded with locals at peak periods. Limited to two restaurants & a cafe in the hotel.
Try breakfast in the Aerie rather than the Atrium cafe. There are a few more restaurants in the terminal, (the Snake Pit is popular) or at other lodges.
