A week of family fun & thrills on snow in Breckenridge

We spent the most memorable week in a friendly, but down-to-earth, real town (not just a purpose-built resort)-namely Breckenridge. About 2hrs out of Denver, it is pretty accessible. Has a genuine old American town feel with the most stunning mountain backdrop.

The 4 peaks provide unlimited skiing and good accessibility and all standards for all skiing levels. My kids have now skied there 2 years in a row, thanks to our strong aussie dollar and are very confident now, and even my wife, who is less of a skier, loved it. There are great tree runs with kid's themes and even a toboggan/roller-coaster for non-skiers!

They had the Dew tour freestyle event at the time, so it had everything and the town was buzzing.

We went dog-sledding on our one day off, which was such a memorable experience for us all. I think we will aim to go there every year.

Once you have skied there, seen the quality of snow, service and affordability, it will be hard to go elsewhere.

Colarado "Rocky Mountain High"

It takes your breath away, literally. When you are at 12 to 13 thousand feet, 30% less oxygen, be prepared,but a must. So much terrain and variation for everyone, no matter what ability. Free shuttle to nearby Keystone % Arapaho Valley. Keystone is a must & spend plenty of time there. The Town of Breckenridge so good, shops, restaurants.

Do yourself a favor go there, you won't be disappointed and enjoy the experience.

Sweet Resort

I lived here last year for a few months and this resort has a great feeling to it down in the town and on the mountain. The main st has plenty of cool bars and restaurants to hit after a sweet day on the slopes. If you want some pow hit peak 10 near the trees and lap the t-bar.

Dont forget to hit the highest chair lifted point in north america with their new chair they installed 5 yrs ago.
