Pick and choose as you please

We've done Vail, Beaver Creek and Aspen. Aspen has been the only one we've returned to: the skiing is unrivalled. The accomodation was to match also, but not for the faint-hearted (as we were up a few flights of stairs), but the view certainly was worth it.
The additional guest passes to the well-equipped spa and gym (a pleasant fifteen minute walk, otherwise there's a shuttle) were regretably only utilised on the last day and were luxurious.
Go during January and there is plenty to do (we love Winterskol), although early ski conditions make the snow fall bare-minimum (give or take a few of days where we had powder and LOTS of it - spectacular). Doesn't mean that Aspen/Snowmass don't turn on the snow-makers full-blast, leaving you with blue sky and enjoyable groomed runs.
The proximity to all four mountains with the free shuttle service is perhaps the biggest drawcard, as the past two ski trips have shown: you can ski all day and not ski the same run twice.
When we were there, there were more Australians than anyone else.. Just goes to show!!
