Stayed at the Lodge during the first week of Feb 2012 with partner and sister.  

This is an amazing property and we will definitely stay there again. 

Highlight of our stay were:
- delicious breakfast buffets
- free upgrade from a one bedroom to a two bedroom condo
- free internet
- outdoor hot tubs with mountain views
- great staff who took us for drinks and drove us to supermarket etc
- ski valet at the bottom of the mountain so never had to carry our gear around.
- great spa and fitness club in building
- fee cookies and apple cider in the afternoons

Drawbacks of our stay:
- while breakfast was included in our stay we had to tip 20% on what the charge would have been which meant it wasn't really free.

We will definitely return!

Great hotel, bad bed!

We stayed at the Lodge at Vail in a studio room. The room itself, hotel, location and facilities were all fantastic. The hotel will in the coming year or two benefit from a renovation as it is beginning to date. The bed in the studio room was very small and a little uncomfotable for two!

The Lodge at Vail's 165 rooms and suites are reminiscent of a fine European chalet with accents of mahogany and marble. Featuring mountain and village views, the luxurious accommodations offer antique armoires, fine leather furnishings and thick terry robes. Each of the diverse 46 suites with one, two or three bedrooms are equipped with wood-burning fireplaces and private walk-out balconies.
