Copper mtn 2012

Written by David a Skier from Canberra

Copper Mountain is a terrific place to ski and is a brilliant place to take the family.

Accommodation is great, access is excellent and the range of runs will suit all level of skiers.

The layout of the village, lifts and runs is fantastic. We rate Copper as No. 1 place for families and in top 5 of places we have skied in the world.

Downsides are having to go 10km to Frisco for a decent supermarket (but you can get groceries delivered) and the risk of a bit of altitude sickness as the village is at 8000 ft.

Copper Gold Plus Acc 2011

Written by Mike and Deidre a Skier from
7/4/2011

Our flight with United Business was good value for the cost. Bed great, service and food ok. Arrival in LA horrible, at least three hours getting through immigration and customs, just made our connecting flight. Copper didn''t have our booking or our tickets when we arrived but knew they were probably on the system, we were in Taylor Square and when I questioned our plus booking they said it had passed, it had two bathrooms which was great for us but the furniture was old however, we were comfortable but slightly disappointed.

Lefty Lucy and Moe Dickson more than made up for everything. Snow was great and very few people skiing. Our transport over was good this time, Aspen Square was just great. Warren welcomed us as if we had just left and Janet was great. Maybe just Aspen next year???????

The price we paid for our ski tickets is just amazing compared to the daily US price. Well done. Have to have the knees done before 2012 however we both bought skis and boots at our age and that is optimistic.......LA Sofitel was great the redecorated hotel is beautiful and the staff and restuarants in house were very good. Many thanks Toby again you have looked after us superbly......Deidre and Mike

Copper Amazing Value

Written by Anthony a Skier from Sydney

Due to the GFC we achieved a great price for accomodation and the airfare was over a thousand less than last year. The A Dollar was also up at 90c us.

The Gold Studio was in the main village overlooking lift and only 46 paces to the snow. Modern, tidy and clean with a great slopeside view. Prices in shops around the resort were all on special by the start of March. Specials on food were also available at most resturants around the village. One even had a $5 lunch, a different meal everyday. And it was onsnow.

Ques. They only existed on the weekend and then only 5 mins at the main lifts. On the upper mountain and back bowl, never. Night life not a lot but the resturants all open. I think the GFC has cause a lot of Americans to miss this years ski trip.

Snow 3+ inches of powder most nights. Terain great powder bowl out the back and a long groomer to get home, Great. FREE Summit County bus makes day trips to Breckenridge, Keystone, Arraphoe basin, and the Silverthorn Factory outlets simple.

Next year Hope to go back.  With the US economy in reverse Great Value to be had.
