Sky Hotel, Aspen

No Ski carrying

The snow was great as well as our hotel and its location.

The deal with the ski hire shop where they free of charge transport your skis to  any of the four mountains meant you never had to carry your skis.

They are at the base of each mountain, for drop off and pickup, it was  a fabulous service.

Heaven is Skiing and Staying in Aspen

25 inches of fresh snow in the first two days certainly helped!  However our stay in Aspen was brilliant, thanks Travelplan. 

Sky Hotel was very comfortable and friendly, with a great bar and scrumptious breakfast. Not to mention such a handy location, right onto the slopes of Aspen Mountain. 

Afternoon sun hitting the spa and bar, as we watched the last skiers come down the maountain. 

Plenty of friendly faces in the vilalge and good places to eat.

First time skier

Having been a life time surf traveller that has never skied, Aspen exceeded all expectations. 

Skiing was amazing, people were amazing, nightlife was great.  Hotel was good but room with 2 double beds made it tight and a touch impractical. 

We will definitely return next year but consider alternative accom such as North of Nell, the Gant, Aspen Square.
