Furano Ski Resort

Lovely resort with perfectly groomed runs and the best powder!

If you like bluebird days and fresh powder, this is the place to go!  Uncrowded, great little restaurants to discover - the locals are amazing - so helpful and really go out of their way to make your stay special.

Pensione Furanui was a lovely surprise - quirky little place run by a local - they do a great breakfast and have their own indoor onsen to unwind in after a day on the slopes.

Snow was awesome though could have used a few more fresh powder days but you cant win them all, furano seems to be more of a beginner resort though there is some awesome back country availible for the brave and the chalet fuyuri is super close to the lift and an easy snowboard to the door home.

The town of Furano, 5 minutes by taxi from the resort remains largely untouched by outside influences. Combine Furanos back drop with everything the resort has to offer and you have the ingredients for a great skiing holiday.

Furano offers great culture and entertainment activities, great sightseeing, delicious restaurants, fun bars and the warmest people you are ever likely to meet. Furano is a fantastic small town with a great world class ski area; it is not a ski resort with a small town.
