Superb resort town, great skiing, not good for kids

Loved Cortina, found the skiing pretty good value, as was Hotel Olimpia. Central location, very affordable, but a little dated rooms. With 4 in room, there wasn't room for bags on the floor. Friendly staff though, good breakfasts, no facilities there eg bar/restaurant/kids.
Cortina not good for kids, about 4 ski schools offer lessions, but not really ski school. So you book by the hour with an instructor, which gets expensive. We booked a few mornings with the instructor for our kids, and added on some babysitting, worked OK, but we had to ski where the kids were, or it is too far to ski elsewhere.
Beautiful place. Would love to go back when kids good skiiers
