Blue Bird Days at Blackcomb

Written by Ross a Skier from Mount Colah, NSW Australia
27/03/2014
Couldn't ask for much better - great service and excellent location on Blackcomb mountain, ski hire in the hotel, great room, breakfast included, walk out the door put on the ski's and go then ski back in when the day was done! -20 celcius degrees (coldest -28 ouch!) but the days were crystal clear! Pity they didn't get more snow while we were there but we skied everywhere. A great mix of terain for all levels of siers. We'll be back! Everything went to plan and the trip was well organised. Very easy to get around with the shuttle bus at the door.

fantastic

Fully recommend Whistler for family ski trip. Visited with 3 kids age 11, 9 and 9. 5 day adventure camp was excellent and discounts we had through Travelplan via 'early bird' discounts made this trip much better value than our previous ski trips.

Hilton was fabulous with interconnecting family room and Hilton junior suite. Nice furnishings good kitchen and open fire place with new logs provided daily.

We will definitely go back.

Karen from Travelplan organised everything passes, equipment, transfers - all cheaper than if I had done it myself.

Ski in and out at Blackcomb

Written by Sonia a Skier from Launceston, Tasmania
17/03/2014

If you want glitz and glamour stay elsewhere on Whistler Blackcomb. If you want ski in - ski out (if you have kids then trust me, you do want this) then Coast Blackcomb Suites are for you. Comfortable, friendly, welcoming.

Ski hire in the building so any of those niggling equipment issues can be solved instantly.

Free bus into town for the nights of raging, quiet for the nights you just want to sleep.

Second time we have been back and it won't be our last.

Faultless Four Seasons

Written by Natalie a Skier from Melbourne, Australia
12/03/2014

We loved our Whistler/Blackcomb experience!

A huge mountain, very pretty resort village and the Four Seasons was faultless. One bedroom suite superb, the Spa massages some of the best we've had, Sidecut restaurant exceptional, but best of all were the wonderful staff - friendly, attentive, enthusiastic, unaffected, always smiling.

Loved every minute!!

Great place to stay at the bottom of gondola

Written by Kay a Skier from Sydney, Australia
26/02/2014

First Tracks accommodation is fantastic. Location right at the bottom of the gondola and next to Dusty's pub. Walk straight onto snow to line up for you r days skiing.

Top to bottom skiing or you can catch gondola down if you are tried.

Centrally location near ski hire and supermarket  etc. short walk to catch bus into town. Plenty of food outlets at creek side. Bus fare is 2.50 or you can buy tickets at the reception for a better price. Other wise approx $10-11.00 taxi fare.

Whistler itself great food places and shopping also he skiing is great plenty to do if you don't want to ski try the spa option, dog sledding, heli skiing , bobsledding just to name a few.

Can not wait to go back

Family Holiday

Written by Julie a Skier from Melbourne, Australia
26/02/2014

Had a great time, everything so easy! Transfers on time, tickets and ski hire all sorted as soon as arrived, Delta great central but not noisy location.

Skied under blue skys followed by swim and spa then short walk to dinner- perfect!

Only made better by the after skiing activities which we could all join in ( have non skiing family member), easy access to tube park, longest & fastest zip line and very cool dog sled ride.

All together pretty action packed an memorable family holiday.

Can't wait to do it all again!

Whistler 2013-2014

Written by Rebecca Anne a Skier from Atkinson Dam, Queensland Australia
30/01/2014

Although the snow conditions weren't great for this year, the trip was amazing.

Holiday Inn was very clean and comfortable with a gas fire place in our room, kitchen and spa bath. There was a slight smell in the hall way due to mongolli grill being underneath, however room smelt fine and fresh and was cleaned daily.

Because it was peak season there was some noise at night time from the street, but we just wore earplugs to bed if this was the case. Otherwise the location is spot on with only a short walk to the ski slopes.

Highly recommend staying here!
