Best holiday ever.  Sun Peaks should be renamed Fun Peaks!!  While the rest of North America struggled without snow we had the most amazing conditions.  Perfect terrain for everyone, perfect conditions, perfect place for kids, perfect place to escape and just ski, ski and ski.

Our week at Sun peaks was a double-headed beast. The first few days we suffered from a lack of fresh snow, but amazingly empty slopes which was a real treat after overcrowded Australia and Europe. Then it dumped a foot of champagne powder overnight and the free-for-all started! Locals poured in and we had the inconvenience of having to queue for five minutes for a lift ;)

The best day ever was followed by the coldest days ever as temperatures plummeted to minus 28, but that was offset by the warmth of the Canadians and the quality of hospitality.

I would recommend Sun Peaks as a great resort for families. If you''re looking for raving nightlife, look elsewhere, but if great skiing and space is what you''re after... this is the place for you!  

We'd love to move there

On our 3rd January stay at Sun Peaks, we took Karen's recommendation to try a 2brm @ Fireside Lodge after very much enjoying the Cahilty Lodge before.

We were not disappointed. Rooms were spacious, high standard & very comfortable. An easy ski thru the village from the locker room to get out, and very easy tuck behind Cahilty to Ski in. 

Mt Morrisey remains our favoured runs, and they have simply the best grooming anywhere.  

As a 4 person family of Blue run cruisers, Sun Peaks is an ideal destination with enough of everything to enjoy. 

Loopy for Kamloops

Whilst staying in Canada recently, Sun Peaks Resort near Kamloops was my local ski hill. It was also the first place I ever tried to ski.  I therefore have both fond and terrifying memories of this place. 

I found everything about the resort - the lodges, staff, facilities and restaurants to be fantastic and my only criticism would be that some of the supposedly beginner runs are quite daunting to a first timer. 

That said, this is a great ski resort.

Sun Peaks Resort

Our family found Sun Peaks a wonderful skiing experience.

The resort is intimate and friendly and the holiday was so kid friendly.

The Delta Residences were very comfortable with everything so close including the lifts and I would definitely recommend it.

We're coming back (for the 3rd time) to Sun Peaks

Our family of 5 - Mum, Dad and 3 teens/young adults had another wonderful time at Sun Peaks.

Snow was fabulous (we were there for Powder Day) and queues were non-existent. Mum joined Ski Sisters for a day of great skiing while the others tackled the double blacks.

We''ll be back! Crystal Forest Condos so good we will stay there again too.

Too tired to hit the night life!  

Christmas & Ski Holiday

This is our 2nd ski booking with Abigail...& everything that she organized & booked went exactly to plan.

Our accomodation at Sun Peaks was exactly what & where we wanted..we got what we paid for...there were no hidden surprises.

Abigail always was most patient & listened to what we wanted booked & then went ahead...did the research and always got back to us in a timely fashion.

I would certainly book with Abigail again. Thank you

LOVED holiday at Sun Peaks

As per my email to Toby Withers a couple of weeks ago thanking Travelplan, we LOVED very nearly everything about Sun Peaks - snow quality, terrain, village, very well organised & clean, exceptionally friendly staff (even domestic staff in hotel), good value.

Would like to see a new gondola lift!

Sunpeaks 2011

Great trip to Sunpeaks this year staying at Nancy Greenes, Travelplan did the goods for us and it was worry free and all too easy.  Everythingw as expected and everything taken care off.  Couldn''t have asked for a better location and value for money on the accomodation.

Blast at the Peaks

Just returned from a blast in Sun Peaks.

Reading the snow report on the resort tv in the morning to see what black runs they groomed, then heading up for some wonderful steep groomers with powder on top. Snow was fantastic, like skiing on silk sheets, not often you can''t hear your skis under you as you blast down piste.

My recently reconstructed knee held up. (Whistler accident last year) and the whole family had a wonderful time.

I even still check the snow and grooming reports wistfully, wish I was back there!! Now all I need to figure out is where to go next year, Sun Peaks will be very hard to beat.
