Even the pain felt good

As I lay in a hot bath enjoying the aches in my legs and back, I felt like I was home. What a wonderful haven we had found at Delta Whistler Village Suites.
We had a week here before traveling on and this was to be my first trip skiing outside of Australia. I had done my research and Delta looked like it was on the money; a one bedroom suite with separate lounge, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen/dining with washing machine and dryer, right on the mountain. But we were in for a surprise. The quality and size of our suite exceeded our expectations: crisp sheets on a massive bed, full size bath, large lounge and gorgeous views over the village. The service was excellent too, laid back with no fussy formalities. It seemed like the whole place was run by young people and they did a great job.
A ten-minute walk each morning (or less on the shuttle) and we were on the slopes; meeting the locals, enjoying the amazing runs and awesome views. I could ski longer, harder, faster knowing I would be nursing my aching muscles back at Delta – I felt like a rockstar!
