Being new to skiing I was really excited about my trip to the snow...

The lodge was buzzing with people and sounds of laughter and the snow fields were awesome.

What a wonderful white world I had entered.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Thredbo - something for everyone!

Written by Stephanie a Skier from Australia
4/4/2010

Thredbo has a large amount of different tracks with something to suit everyone. They have yellow, green, blue and black runs. Their ski school is well run, with plenty of helpful staff and great instructors who know what they are teaching. Their lessons do have a few to many people in them for everyone to get individual attention. Their restaurant/bistro facilities have great food at inflated prices. Lift tickets are a little overpriced, but the large amount of lifts/tracks makes up for it. The only thing I HATE HATE HATE about Thredbo is the queues - way to long! Some of their lifties are never sober and dont seem to quite know what they are doing and where they are......However they do know the best places to eat and drink! The Alpin Hotel is close to the snow and has decent rooms depending on your price range - expensive, more expensive or $10000000 per night! You are better off to stay in Jindabyne.

Skiing in Thredbo

Written by Sue a Skier from Perth, Australia

Thredbo is a fantastic place to Ski as I found on my Ski vacation last year.  It was amazing, I had never seen real snow before and my children just had so much fun learning how to ski and make snowmen.  I would recommend Thredbo for all Skiers and Snowboarders.

Our Holiday in Thredbo

Written by Phillip a Skier from Sydney, Australia
2/2/2010

We went to Thredbo as a family and stayed at the Thredbo Alpine Hotel. Now I''ve stayed in quite a few hotels in several different countries and I think the best one was it. Nothing was too much for us to ask, even room service. The staff were wonderful and they treated us as valued clients and not just as guests.

With regard to the resort itself we found that it was really very good. The activities that they had for adults and kids alike were superb and the ski-fields were just so fantastic that we wish they were there all year long, but alas summer marches on.

The staff that were around the resort were really quite friendly and approachable and they outdid my expectations. Just when I thought they couldn''t be better than fantastic they were.

I know that I''ll be travelling down there again with the family.

Written by Hayley a Snowboarder from Victoria, Australia

Whether you want to be active or just want to sit back and relax, The Denman and Threadbo have activities to suit everyone. During winter there are areas for snowplay, downhill and cross country skiing, alternatively it’s just a short ride to the top of the mountain to access all that Threadbo has to offer.

In spring, summer and autumn there''s cycling, walking, or simply relaxing in the exhilarating alpine environment.

The Denman offers boutique Alpine Accommodation amongst the amazing snowy Mountains Kosciusko National Park. You can discover Australia''s most unique alpine regions. The Denman prides itself on exceptional personal service, comfort and local produce at their in-house restaurant is nothing short of outstanding. Relax in the only day spa in the alpine park, enjoy a café latte in front of the open fire or  a cocktail or cold beer at Thredbo’s Apres Cocktail Bar.

The Apres Bar and restaurant allows guests to enjoy the sunshine and gorgeous mountains views whilst enjoying carefully selected tasting plates and a glass of your favourite wine which is an exquisite way to cap of a hard day on the slopes.
